latest price for the kingston ultimate 2GB at S$99 at PC show. very tempted to get it and use it with a CF card convertor. Will the R/W speed be affect by the SD to CF convertor?

so, can i say that if is using prosumer the normal SD will be enough for normal shooting. hee but the Elite pro and the normal is only diff of $6 for 1GB (40 vs 34)

Just got a 1GB Kingston Ultimax (133x), 512MB Kingston Elitepro (50x) & a SD card reader all for 80bucks at PC show today. :)

I just bought 2 Lexar 133x 2 Gb SD cards at $99 each from the Eastgear stand at the PC show. I think its very good value.

do i need to use kingston sd ultimate or elite pro for the ixus 800? or can i just use the regular speed sd cards? i am planning on getting a 2gb card for taking stills and clips. appreciate any advise.

btw, how does kingston compare to lexar?

Sorrie newbie here... Would like 2 check if Lexar a gd brand? Warranty lifetime? Where 2 go to if any pro wif the card as in their service centre?

the faster the better, especially for a fast camera, especially now that the prices are not really much different between a fast and slow SD card.

luckily i didn't have to buy a new card for my new cam (got a 33x 1GB free), else sure heart pain ;p

could some experts enlighten me on this Memory card thingy...

i read somewhere that the current brands of memory cards in the market boost of the "speed" like Kingston Elitepro 50x or Ultimate 133x and 66x and etc, but those were not writing speed....they are actually "reading speed"......that was what the guy told me when i bought my cam and this is confirmed by some discussions in the canon S3 accesories thread....writing speed is seldom published, some manufacturers published this info in their website....
