Yes, I got the international warranty card from HK Sony service center. But I am not sure about Malaysia gives this model international warranty. If buy from Malaysia, check the set is Malaysia local set or parallel import. Coz someone told me Malaysia A580 is grey set last night.

Not sure, but the shop i brought my A55, sell the A580 also. He do online register for you on Sony Malaysia website. Doubt is water set.

Correct. But you get the big battery life, and for long exposures it's great

When video recording started, A580 cannot re-focus again when pressing the shutter. It is very useful when zoom in/out, and change focused subject.

Bro, u can use the focus ring.. Plus at least u can use a non-SAM lens and it will be quieter

Think that is the reason why they have A55 for better video.

The A580/A560 is still DSLR with video ! ...their video functions just like any of the other DSLR from other camps.
It is asking too much for the A580 to have continous AF during video and simply unfair because the A580 is capable of extremely good IQ photos.
