i quite like the pics... however, isn't there a need to sort of match the skin tones? e.g. #3 is a bit too grayish as compared with the rest...

Not always apply lah. Normally I think in terms of spread. If you see the pictures side by side, page after page, as long as the color scheme is consistent, it's not really a big issue. The ultimate result still dependant on printing and the production person who manages the colour.

Congrates on another sucessful spread brother!

It serves its prupose, but keep challanging yourself and the vision!!

Simply put, I like the series. Kudos for trying to push the envelope. The color tones are what we normally do in TV commercials anyways, desaturate a little, crush the blacks and it has always worked a little better for the asian skin. Creates a nice mood. I liken it to a slight noirish feel, which I like. Interested to collaborate?

Thanks for your compliments, skye and I appreciate it.

my collaboration with him took him out of his comfort zone. hahahah , these pictures are very unlike what he usually does. yeah skye?

we were going for a cinematic look and should have shot with hotlights for maximum effect but they are, of course, really expensive, even to rent.

The noir feel is probably from the mix of glamour in grime.

and yeah, cuz asian skin is sallow/yellow, desaturating always helps create a porcelin look.

skye: you should put in the missing pictures. the one you shot and the one i shot.
