Another plus for Powerex, best rechargeables batts I used so far.

it definitely has to be the batteries, i think. mine works fine ;)

i've been trying to ask around. it is needful to use flashcards on our nikon ext flashes? theres this one great sales photog that i always run to whenever i need equipments and he says it's not needful. when i asked him why some of my co photographers use them (& informed him that theyre using canon), he says that canon flashes are less accurate? inputs please? thanks!

i think u mean the need for bounce card?

Bounce card is used for bouncing light to subject, instead of hitting it straight on..straight on flash usually gives very harsh lightings and may result in blown highlights sometimes..bounce lighting will give a softer/diffuse lighting..it has nothing to do with the brand of ur flash..it depends on wat type of lighting u want and wat environment u r shooting in..;)

needful?

Well you could just keep firing straight at your subject and using the exposure compensation to somehow manage the harshness, or you could bounce or diffuse the flash.

i dun really use my sb600 very often, and still new to it, i bought for about 1 year @.@

i have some prob, when i set the mode to TTL or TTL BL, that pic always underexpore to me, every time i got to use M and set it at 1/1, then only manually my M and A setting (i used M mode very often)... any idea of this?

also, basically, when the flash mode sets to TTL or TTL BL, there is a lighting icon in front of the word TTL and TTL BL right, why there isnt sometimes and it just missing, and i can only see TTL this 3 letters on the screen, or else change back to M mode.. no more TTL (with lighting icon) and TTL BL (with the icon too)

thanks...

ooooh i learn a new word today. thanks :bsmilie:
So did I. But I kind of expected that the word existed because I vaguely remembered people using it before but definitely not common in SG. ;p

no one care about me :what:

when i used the term bounce card, people corrected me that it's "flash card" i usually bounce the flash off to the ceiling (if it's not too high) thanks for the input, man, appreciate it.

i know, "needful" sounds weird. i only knew about it when i had GP for class , :bsmilie:

i also had been using this flash for abt 1yr. performs well n up to my expectations. most of e time, i will use a bounce card, just to get that "more even" flash on the subject.

initially i also encounter same problem. as in sometimes fire and sometimes not. or sometimes just fire by itself. in my case, it was e prob wif my s5pro hot shoe, cos its a bit loose. but after servicing it, e prob is solved.
