HELP!!! REWARD GIVEN!!! Retrieving photos from Sony MS Pro Duo

Hi! Would appreciate if anyone could help me to retrieve my pics taken on the last day before my card crashed on me. Somehow, after taking out the ms from the camera slot, the printer, the pc and the card reader could not read data in the card anymore. When slotting back into the camera, the cam itself kept on prompting to insert memory card.

I suspect that I broke the external card but the data should still be inside.

If you think you can help me, please please drop me a pm. I know of a company who could do it but the charges itself is not justifiable for me to go ahead with it.
If there's a good samaritan out there who wishes to help, I do not mind giving him an ang pow of say 30 bucks :embrass:

if the photo in the card is not worth it, den get a new card. some ppl pay up to $2K to retrive data from HD. My friend ever get a quote of $2K min to retrive data from an old 40GB hd.

What you can do is put back the card in the camera and put a thin paper behind the card. see the camera can read the card.
If not you need to try on the laptop with memory card reader.

Or else went to sony service centre to help recover your data.

hi . well you can only get the pros to help for data recovery . most likely can't retrieve . i have been thru this situation b4 . due to overheat that shorted the memory card . was quote 2.6 k to retrieve the content inside . and no gurantee that they can do it .

There're software utilities to recover the data from memory cards.
Try Googling "corrupted memory card retrieval" or similar keywords.
There might be freeware gems among the payware.

They have a free software for all memory stick to retrieve data from corrupted cards. if software don't work, service centre might be the only solution...

I think he's problem is more than just deleted files. All the softwares works if you accidentally delete or format the cards but hardware failure on a flash card is quite hard to fix using software. What pics do you have inside? ANy chance you can live without them
