help regarding canon A-1 shutter

hello gentlemen, I'm facing a problem, i can't seem to trigger the camera's shutter after trying to press it for many times.!!! I've used a new battery, and new film, and it worked well for the first 5 or so shots until the shutter stopped working. i tried with the auto winder and it manage to fire a couple more shots before it completely didn't work again. is there a problem or a setting that i may have done wrongly, or could it be a faulty battery, the metre reading does show however it is blinking and "fading" on and off. thanks for your advise and help in advance, hope u understand my english!

Perhaps you should try new batteries! Try two in fact, they sometimes come dead.

If cannot try this, it worked once for me.

"Wack" that part with your palm, it worked for me to release my jammed shutter.

yeah, if your meter is blinking i'd say your batteries are gone.
