i'm having trouble connecting to the internet on my PDA via infra connection to my handphone. could anyone please help? (or is this connection possible in the first place?)

PDA = Palm Tungsten E running Palm OS v5.2.1
Phone = Nokia 8250
Internet a/c = Singnet ADSL, with dial-up connection a/c

Error message on phone: "Please check operator services. Terminal connection lost"

Error message on PDA: "No carrier (0x1102)"

thanks in advance!

You need a HP that support GPRS. Don't think 8250 got that function. You also need to subscript to GPRS service inorder to use it.

It's time to get a new phone already.

so it's the phone that's the missing link? any recommendation? just want a fuss-free phone that can do the job of linking up PDA to internet

Get a Palmone Treo600, phone+PDA+camera+internet.
I can surf Clubsnap with that!

Sony Ericsson T630 - use bluetooth to connect phone to PDA. Or else any Nokia phone with bluetooth (if you prefer Nokia).

hi stereobox,

you've probably gotten all the advice you need... but since you are a palm user, why not take a look at Singapore Palm User Group where there are tons of fellow palm users sharing their knowledge?

for PocketPCs, check out PPCSG.com
