Most zoom lens do come with a hood or sorts. Most short primes don't. Most of the hood that comes with consumer grade lenses are too puny and are useless anyway. The hood often acts more of protecting the front element rather than reducing glare or ghosting.
Since you are new, use your kit lens first and learn how to use your cam. If you want more background blur, zoom in to the max and use the biggest apeture (lowest F number). Then ensure your subject is as near to you as possible while the background is as far as possible. Instead of the 50F1.8, why not wait a while until the 35F1.8 is out. 35mm is a generally more versatile focal length then 50mm with crop sensor.
