just a question. the nikon dx lenses fits nicely into the s5pro rite? don't need any mounting? also, how and what do i check for when buying a 2nd hand dslr? please reply asap! THANKS!

for me..
try to find out the shutter count..
see any cosmetic defects...like chips...and rusty screws...
tripod mount is in working condition...
test each mode out..
shoot at continous

test the focusing...

okay! i got my S5 Pro from a friendly brother. thanks alot for the all input. now im left with getting the lens and memory card and a bag. as my funds are low, im intending to get the 18-105vr lens first.

another question. can nikon external flash units be used on the S5 Pro?

sb400,600,800,900 can be used.

Well the main consideration is that the current price of S5pro price has drop very much compare to few years ago. It is much affordable now.

D80 in reality cannot be compare with S5pro. you should use D200 to compare. Guess some brother said, S5pro is slightly bigger than D80 and it is consider as a full body system.

Given a choice i will go for S5pro. you get better satisfaction with it.

I am currently using it with a Nikon SB800 flash no problem, it is working well.

Regards

Nikkor 18-105VR uses 67mm filter size. If u want go for B+W brand. The common use filter are either UV, PL or CPL. B+W website: http://www.schneideroptics.com/
