Help Needed! D5100 user


It's unnatural, less stable and very tiring if that's the only orientation you are shooting for the entire day :p
Battery grips are useful if you have big hands. Even if you have small hands the BG makes it more nice to feel and grip on.

i don't understand the need for a battery grip for an entry level camera. portrait orientation aside, is there any additional benefit? the battery already lasts forever as it is and you don't get any extra fps

It solves the "hanging pinky" problem for people with bigger hands. Hmm if Canon can make grips for their entry level cams, I don't see why Nikon can't make them too.

I truely agree. No more hanging pinking for me after i got the grip :D
