What is the flashing "asterisk" (star or mumm shape) at the bottom of the shutter speed scale, in the viewfinder (just right of the exposure adjustment LED, underneath the under-range LED triangle);

Thanks,
Max

Hello:

You have the exposure adustment dial turned from the "0" position. This is the ring on the top of the camera to the left (viewed from the view finder side of the camera). Return it to "0" and it will stop flashing.

I hope this helps you!

yes, thanks. I figured it out earlier. The flashing "sun" IS the exposure adjustment indicator. the little rectangle with the +/- is just the "label" for the indicator. I never used it before. And the exposure adjustment dial was ever so slightly off...

Thanks again.
