H howardfuhrman New Member Jan 5, 2008 #3 If you are unable to find someone to assist you in converting your D50 to IR, you can order a filter from Lifepixel.com and follow the directions to replace the IR blocking filter with a R72 equivalent as shown on their website: http://lifepixel.com/ir-tutorials/nikon-d50-digital-infrared-conversion-instructions.htm Good luck. B boysiimen Member Jan 7, 2008 #7 Yes .... You are right ... but just take note with hoya R72 will reduces few stops .... This is the main reason (not to reduce stops) ppls mob by removing the filter inside the ccd and replace with the IR filter ... hope this may helps ....
