..err.. if you dare,
pu the lens in the freezer for about 45 minutes -
then try gently and slowly unfastening it with a piece of cloth between your fingers and the filter ring. Do this with th lens and your hands in the freezer compartment.
The theory is that metal contracts in low temps. This way, it should loosen quite a bit to come free.
err.. but if on the other hand the lens filter thread rim is plastic, try a applying a lighter flame to heat up the filter ring a little to expand the metal and try unfastening again.
Otherwise, drastic measure like using a car's oil filter vice grip tool to unfasten it....
