HELP! Focus ring stuck!

i'm using an m8 and i've been using a 35mm summicron but when i tried the m8 with the 50mm summicron dual range the focus ring gets really tight at 1.2m. i don't think it's the lens because when i removed it from the body, the focus ring works fine, and the same goes with an m4.

anybody experienced this before??? or is this a known problem with the DR version?

and i also tried to mount with the lens focused at infinity (as recommended when mounting on the m6 because apparently, it's difficult to mount on the m6). that didn't work too. it felt worse as the lens didn't even "sit in" properly. i felt like i had to force it down but i didn't.

"The lens has two ranges of travel, one which is for normal use without the "eyes" from 1 meter to infinity and another with the eyes for macro work. With the eyes on, you can pull the spring-loaded focussing ring away from the flange and slip it back around the stop, then remove the eyes and use the lens normally on any Leica 35mm camera"

thanks blacvios. but i found a thread on l-camera forum. the DR just cannot be mounted on the m8 because of the double cam protusion as stated and explained in pictures on this thread.

It also doesn't mount on M6 according to camera quest link page.
