awesome details ... care share the setup? , ie f#, Shutter, ISO, etc
NICE! I like it.
Setup as below:
Exposure: 0.004 sec (1/250)
Aperture: f/8
Focal Length: 17 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Still reckon the cloud details is still lack of details.....
Its a single shot HDR?
Yeah looks like it.
It should be a single shot tonemapped. From the pic, the there is strong sun from behind the cam, but the sky on top of is full of dark cloud.....is that why the DR is not very wide and a single RAW can cover....nicely done however.
cool shot
Hi All,
First HDR trial with using Trial Photomatix s/w... :embrass:
Please let me have your sincere comment. Thank you.
Hi espion, actually taken 3 shots with different exposure, -2/0/+1. and later combine it with using trial photomatix s/w.
Hi lastboltnut, may you explain by the meaning of 'single shot tonemapped'?

Now I can comment a little. First Photomatix have done well for moving objects (or did u do a bit of repair job in PP?). Second there is no obvious haloing, which is again good. The big problem is the sky. It is somehow inconsistent with rest of the picture.
Can you share your setting on Photomatix, if you can remember it, esp the strength and the light smoothing parameters.
Hi, since its multiple shots, then its not single shot tonemapped, its really HDR May I know how you derived at using -2/0/+1 exposure? Why not just bracket it with -2/0/+2?

...hope it is ok for u.
hi espion, did fine tweaking @ Photomatix. strength 90/ light smoothing Very High/ Luminosity -3/ Temp 2 are the main parameters used...hope it is ok for u.
no, no, ok or not ok for me is irrelevant.
u ask for comments, and I am trying to understand why your sky is what it is, before I comment anything definitive.
Do u feel/think the sky is ok?
Thank you.

...relax...
i do not feel the sky is ok and that is what i mentioned earlier because normally HDR's sky or cloud looks better with loads of detail....
what do you think?
Hi, don't my some suggestions..just regarding the sky bits.. the rest is beautiful as can be.
Was it rather windy up above when the picture was taken? If the clouds are shifting fast, that maybe the cause. Especially fast moving low clouds. Coupling multiple exposure setting to your AEB does shorten the interval between the 3 images.
Hi soulFLY, what is the "temp 2" setting? My version of Photomatix doesn't have this parameters...
Yeah looks like it.
