The haze is only affecting this region.
Why must they bother? They have their own problem/agenda already...
U is busy fighting to retain her pole position.
R is trying to regain her past glory.
E has a lot of unwelcome flooding.
C is trying to be the middle kingdom again.
To UN, it is not a priority, as we contribute less even though ASEAN is 500 millions strong!

It's true what. Compare to Philippines and Mexico having typhoons.......
My helper's hometown is the one that got direct hit from typhoon. Everything is washed out. She can't even call her family coz all telecom are down. She doesn't even know whether they r still alive or not.
This is the reality of life.
I tell u, every foreigner see SG as heaven or Disneyland. They appreciate what we have here more than ourselves.

i also appreciate greatly what we have here in sg ... cos i pay my gst, erp, income tax, tv licence, hdb maintenance fee, parking fee, property tax, CPF, and i serve 2.5 yrs national service plus another 15yrs reservist .. no other ppl from other countries can appreciate more than i do !!

The reason for our country security is due to due to NS and 10 yrs of ICT. You take this away, u will see other countries trying to get funny with us.
U pay all these taxes is because this country needs money to be run properly. You take these taxes away, we will end up like Greece.

Please do not think every foreigner is so naive as to see SG as Heaven or Disneyland...there are a lot of foreigners to account for sir. It is very easy for an outsider looking at Singapore from a keyboard to appreciate what you all have...I think Singapore as a country and people have demonstrated something remarkable over the past 50 years and before. It is a tough row to hoe boys. Anyone who thinks it isn't is crazy. You guys have a lot to be proud of and heaven or Disneyland ain't what that is about...

Reports have it that 3/4 of Indonesia is now engulfed by the haze from Sumatra and Kalimantan ...... Jakarta also affected now though slightly. Lets hope that the situation deteriorates in their capital, so that they wake up to realize the seriousness of the issue. :cheers:
