anyway for everyone's info, I didn't buy the camera today. They promised 1 yr warranty, all accessories, and lens kit.

But they just wouldn't show me the god damn camera ! not even the box ! well... too bad ..... I'll rather pay extra few hundred dollars at some other shops to ease my mind...

Hmm sounds like the age old trick up their sleeve.

i dun have a good impression of Harvey Norman.... That time i went to take look at some canon cameras. I ask the salesman to let me hold and look at the camera. When he knows i am not buying, his attitude change..... dun really like his service.....

I used to have this impression that their service were a notch higher than others. Seems like its getting worst. But still .... nothing beats sim lim !

have you try TK Foto ... some of the stuff they are selling is cheaper than Cathay Photo/MS Color.

Went to harvey norman today. requested a qoute on canon eos 300d. The guy with an attitude problem told me it was $1999 NOT INCLUSIVE EF-S 18-55mm lens.

I thought $1999 was inclusive of the lens as mentioned in canon website ?

I just got my new Canon EOS 300D today ! Bought it at T K Foto Technic. Camera cost $1780. I bought a scandisk 256mb as well at $122.86.

The total price after GST is $1998. The salesman had an excellent attitude and was keen in answering my enquiries. He even told me the way to his shop and reserved the camera for me. By the way I bought the last set. I'm not sure if there will be any stock taking but its worth giving them a buzz at 93857244.

The location is not at Shaw Towers as mentioned on their website but at Bedok NTUC Blk 212. Its level 2 inside NTUC near the counters.

I just tried out canon's 75-300mm lens. the AF is abit slow and sometimes focus way beyond what it should be. So I'll have to use manual ocassionally to get the sharpness i want. quite wasted ....

Nah ... like I said the guy was spooky ... He gave me a qoute but repeatedly refused to let me see the camera, even the box ! when i requested for it. So I went and get from TK photo instead
