thanks for the advice tomohitogo, but I don't want Apple hardware (sorry Apple fan boys). For the same specs, a generic or even high end PC like Asus or Sager is $1000 cheaper. Perhaps running Hackintosh (Snow Leopard on PC) might be the way.
Pchong - you will need to get a PCI-Express IO card like Belkin's F5U602. Look around - there are many available online. Belkin is in SimLimSquare : 1 Rochor Canal Road #03-33...
If you seriously want to still run Windows, then get a Mac and install XP or Vista on it. The firewire will be supported natively and you don't need to be subject to driver problems.
