No tiger beer?

Yes! i finally can attend one HUG gathering this time round.

Thanks To Denis and all present last night during the HUG...enjoyed myself...two requests...

in my set of pics, I think the kind gentlemen manning the workstation forget to include the macro watch pictures shot before the model arrived, and apparently also the earlier shots I took...I did in total 3 sessions with the model...one model only, one with the rectangular watch, and finally with the round watch. ...possible for me to get them? Thanks.

secondly, I am having trouble with Phocus...I dowloaded 2.0, installed, fine...but the viewer is blank...totally white. I can see the pics in the thumbnail. Help appreciated.

I exported this to Photoshop CS3 as an 8 bit tiff file...and reduced the size in jpeg...pardon for blowing the highlights on the model's right cheek. But the pic is quite amazing detail. Ramdomly picked shot.

2-2-10_test__0230_prv-full.jpg

And a full 100% crop of the left eye...no processing other than Phocus export, import into CS3, crop, save.

Eh Pchong , the nice young man is tskye and your images must still be in Denis' computor.
Understand that Phocus 2.0 is only for Mac .
You may make use of Phocus 1.2 for windows.

I think all of us had a good time last night .
We would like to thank all the nice people who brought the CNY Goodies for all to share .
Especially Christopher for his two big boxes of cakes and tarts .
And Eujin Goh , Skye Tan , Francis , Singscott and Tony Ying for posing the model .

Daniel will be giving us a treat at the next gathering because he won the Lucky Draws grand prize of the Free Weekend use of the H3DII 31 !

Meanwhile it is Happy CNY to all Huggies ! :p

Can't help you much did you try reinstalling the software ?

As for your pictures I think the order should be the watch => the model => the model with the watch.

I think you should have the 2nd and 3rd sets the 1st one is in another folder on Denis's computer.

Reinstalling Phocus. Will update later.

still no go. Same old white screen. Interestingly Phocus can read the exif data. The histogram is a collection of needles...and no picture.

Peter - you might want to check the specs of your computer or laptop.
Phocus 2 places high demands on your computer system & requires a really high powered graphics card.

I've listed the Windows spec requirements for your reading:
System Requirements
Phocus is supported on Windows XP (SP2), Vista (SP1) and Windows 7 in 64 or 32bit mode. Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD equivalent processors, with min. 2Gb of RAM and min. 256Mb of graphics card memory.
For Windows 7 installations a minimum of 512Mb graphics card memory is recommended. Phocus is optimized for best performance with 64 bit operating systems.

So far - for people whose systems have graphics cards that are 128mb - the main viewer will either be black or white. Thumbnails can be seen, but main viewer is lost.

Hope this helps

thanks tomohitogo...I think that might be the problem. I installed on a Dell laptop, with Core 2 Duo, but don't think have independent graphics. I will try and install on desktop with 512MB graphics card later tonight.

It was great meeting you guys yesterday!

Thanks to Shriro and everyone who helped make this possible!

Strangely, I have a lot of files on my card as well as what I think are my own.

Model alone, a lot of tilted shots, under the name 'A--- L--' files 0217 - 0236, then also under 'A--- L--', straight shots, files 0289 - 0213, then underexposed shots of model with round watch, files 0316 - 0320, then model with round watch, correctly exposed files 0321-0322, then what appears to be my files.

CHEERS!

p.s. Aloysius also shared and brought one of the two boxes of traditional cakes and yummies.

No worries Pete. Keep us posted.
You might also want to check the CROP/ORIENTATION filter and reset the angle to 0.
I think Denis must have set it to minus 20 that's why all the angles were wierd and the cropping was all wrong.

Maybe a mix up of the high capacity nameless CF cards :bsmilie:

If you need to use it on your laptop the older version will work if you can install it.(its in your CF card)

I have it on my laptop.;)
