Tried it too....not up to standard.:thumbsd: Color is not any where close to my expectation. Details also loose out big time if you compare it to 1D4.

I think I can understand why. You've already got the 1D3. Yes, granted the 1DIV has lots of new features & good AF, plus HD movies and all. But I guess if you are talking about stills, your 1D3 does it just (almost) as good.
Thus for the hefty price of a new 1DIV, for an owner of a 1D3 like yourself, maybe not so worth it.

But for a non-owner of 1D series, the attraction is there...

Only shot in JPG...did not have their RAW converter. Might be too used to Canon system.

It is definitely worth considering how much the camera has done for me over the pass 2 years.

Not very cost efficient to upgrade from 1diii to 1dv lei. 1diii is still considered ne of the more advanced system... Maybe i can consider a 1diii from bns. Lol.

If you can get 1D3 for about $3.5K is worth it compared to 1D4. I am going to KIV and look at the 1Ds4 to see what it can offer.

Indeed! For those who do not have a 1D3, the 1D4 would be a good consideration. However, if they have a 1D3, there is not much incentive to upgrade.

Agree. Just like one may not huy 5dii if he already has a 5d, unless he wants a 2nd body.
