Has anyone use a Pentax zoom280-p?

it looks like an interesting compact to walkabout with. I wonder if anyone has anything to say about it, you know like the usage and picture taken with it, etc...

I don't have this model, looks good but seems bulky by today's standards. Pentax was the first to make a 35mm AF zoom compact in 1986/87 and was one of the best selling brands.

You can try Cash Converters if looking for this model. More recent compacts (below 6 years) with 28-70/75/80 zoom can be found from Olympus, Minolta, Yashica, Konica.

I got it this afternoon from Cash Convertor. Yup, it is bulky but that translate to a better grip for me and overall the body feels tough even though its plastic. There were other newer models but I just "clicked" with this one. I mean with features like Exp compensation, wireless remote release(the controller is parked at the side when not in use), diopter adjustment, interval shooting, programmable bulb settings, panorama, option to switch to spot af, image tracking, multiple exposure(! how many cam can do that nowadays), etc. Its truly a condensed SLR. All this for only $24! How cool is that?? It would really be great if has a pretty decent lens too(that would be pushing it, but one can dream right...). I'm fiddling with it right now, tomorrow and Sunday will definitely be using it

Its amazing sometimes what you can find at C.C. Last time I got a Yashica T4 for just $4.....wooohooo. And a few weeks ago I saw a Contax S2, I tried to hoodwink the sales guy but...:embrass: he knows his stuff.
