has anyone took Tiger Airways to HK before ?

I took Jetstar to HK and Tiger back.

Jetstar is noticeably more comfortable but not 250 dollars worth of comfort. Go for Tiger, it's fine.

The only drawback is that you might have to pay extras for food and drinks onboard. Budget airline doesnt come with the food and drinks normal airline does.

Not cheap I'd say. Might be better off taking the cheapest combo on Cathay for less than $100 more, but you get food and entertainment and less inconvenient timings (which requires you to travel on a cab).

would suggest you avoid Tiger. They have a lot of cancellations compared to other airlines.

On a recent trip, I took Jetstar to HK, and Tiger for the return journey. I think it really depends on the aircraft they allocated - Tiger was a lot newer and cleaner. Food wise, Jetstar is way better.

Well, I feel that it's only justifiable to take budget if the savings over commercial is more than 100% cheaper, and more importantly, you're flexible with your schedule and flight postpone/delay is not a problem.
