Has anyone moved from 50 f/1.2L to f/1.4

I've owned both before, focusing speed is about the same, you won't notice the difference.
Sharpness, color fidelity IMO the 50L is better. I got rid of the f1.4, its a no-brainer decision.

the 50L delivers a very different contrast and colour tone than the non L primes. in terms of sharpness all the modern canon 50mm primes do well, can't fault any - and the price reflects this. If you can afford it keep the 50L. If you are itching for something different i'd suggest used manual leica/zeiss lenses.
If you want to have some fun try a 50mm f1.8 II ..... the biggest challenge is getting folks to overcome the low price, as this is also a very excellent lens.

Just curious. If ever anyone will downgrade to a 1.4, will they consider the sigma instead of the canon? Or is the brand important as well when considering the lineup..?
