From what i can see, only the tvs are hughly discounted.

Yah ! mostly LCD TVs. Camera very limited model and prices are not really that cheap as TVs. Especially CANON, I think prices are controlled. If you are looking for DSLR, I suggest you go to reputable camera shops to get them. Maybe you can work on some bargains and might get a good deal.

the sale is not for slr, mostly for LCD / Plasma TV.. SLR canon still more expensive than cathay or ms, not worth at all buy at harvey norman, they still sell 1000D with 1050.. same thing you can get it at mscolor arr 980.
