Sure, because you can feel which will break down earlier ... For tripods we have a sticky thread in Equipment - Others. Please do some read up and come up with own ideas.

Anyone know what is the market price for Canon EW 60C [18-55mm f3.5-5.6] Hood, Couldnt find it anywhere leh. I feel like buying from the Gmarket. They gt authentic $25 and fake one $10.

Should I get the len hood Camera/Camcorder - EW-60C Camera Lens Hood For Canon EF 28-80mm / 28-... It is actually quite short. Dunno can block any lights anot? Any bro here use len hood for kit len.

Your lens is shorter than the lens that the hood is made for, if anything, it might be too long. Why not try calling/go canon to ask? If they have something that is more suitable, they could recommend to you as well..

Yes, just email Canon to check about the available hood? I think the EW60C is too short and cant block the side lights.

Do you really want to use a very long lens hood for your 18-55mm lens? I mean, 18mm is pretty wide, if you use too long or deep a lens hood, you might have vignetting at the wide end.
That is also why many wide angle lens had flower hood, whereby the sides was shorter. But that was not too useful for your case, because the front element of your lens rotate and at certain range (not sure which range), there will be vignetting.

I got it at $4.90 or $3.90 at ang mo kio ms color =x. Ntuc might have also, saw it at some 24hr Ntuc
Get a dry cabinet so you wont need to change your dry silica
