Anyone thinking of extending this cam's warranty? Extended warranty cost $75/- for two
more years of peace of mind.

The extended warranty issit from Fuji... or from Havey Norman or Best denki...?

Thanks Bribadi,

Always wondered what the leather case looked like. I'm really looking into buying this digicam to replace my Pana FZ5. ;p

The F11 only has exposure compensation - there is no seperate adjustment of flash output.

Hi Xing,

Could you let us know which shop did you get this card reader from? Could it read the 1G xD (type M) cards? Thanks.

For those of you who got the 512MB card, were you given Type M or Standard one?

Given a choice, which would you choose?

Hi ziploc, I got it from the 3rd floor shop next to the Hung Bros shop that sells sennheiser earphones.

Thanks. What capaity of xD are you using with the reader? The reason being that some card reader will have problem reading the type M xD (which is 512MB and above).

I've got the same card reader (not the same brand, but it looks exactly the same, must be a generic china made model) and it reads my 1GB type M xD (olympus) card fine.

I was given type M 512mb card package with F11. I would prefer stardard card because it should be faster than type M card

Thanks for the info. I'm also given Type M, which I would have preferred Standard too.

Somehow, mine doesn't come with the included 16MB xD card. Is this the norm that shops will keep them instead if I choose to upgrade the xD card?

I don't find this a good practice if so, as I will likely upgrade my DC (still either Fujifilm or Olympus, and wish to keep the 512MB, while I sell what the F11 originally has.

I've just found out that my F11 doesn't come with the 16mb xD card too

Just to update the price i got from Bally Photo in Funan which i think is offering the best price for F11 so far.

F11 + 512 xd card = $615 (included GST)

No case included? Even if not, after buying the case would still be the cheapest I suppose.

Case was included. The fuji finepix leather pouch. I was told that the case for Fuji is actually in the original package but on the box it was not stated and hence many shops took it out and sell it separately. I was told of this by the salesman.

Very honest shop and salesperson.

Did you get any equote or just went down to the shop to check and bought on the spot? My friend is also interested, so I might recommend him to go there instead.

Yup I'm also curious to know if the price for F11 at Bally Photo is a walk-in or an equote price.
Plus, the XD card provided - is it Type M or the Standard one? What's the difference, by the way? I hear Type M is slower though it's supposed to be an improved version?
Thanks.

I walked in and was given this. In fact on many previous occasion i have walked to Bally Photo and asked about many different pricing on their cameras ..etc. They are patient and even i didn't buy they are still very friendly. Pricing wise i always find their camera $10-30 cheaper than what i can find in Cathay or AP ..etc.

I didn't ask what type is the XD card. I expect Type M because almost all shops are stocked with Type M especially if they are new XD card.

F11 now is out of stock in Bally Photo. Now only a display set left which i choose not to take. I will call again to collect this weekend if possible.

Btw .. i not related to the shop at all just sharing the best bargain i was offered on F11 + 512mb card.

$615 with gst? whoa. that's a good deal. I just got my f11 with a 512 xD card. din want to get the 1gb at the end..
just tested out the photos indoors at night and the iso800 1600 shots are amazing!

btw, what happened to the xD card that's supposed to be included in the box? how come everyone's missing it?

Any of you guys still check for hot/dead pixels nowadays?

I didn't deliberately check mine, but somehow noticed that there is a white pixel always on the same spot even at ISO 80 with fast shutter speed used.

What do you guys advise, since my purchase is still within 7 days?

Whooaaa.... like that you better rush to the shop and change... never notice dead pixel on mine (more than 600 pics already) Let us know the shop if they served you good, so we can list which shop gives professional customer service :)
