Really good observation. That is why you don't see me taking portraits with the camera. Neither would I be caught dead with a macro shot. I just let it do what it does best. Almost all the shots were literally P&S. Each shot took a few seconds to compose and that was it. No cropping.

Yes. It's 4MP. I bought it without testing it. Then I found out I could take very good shots without a tripod or flash. Impressive little wonder.

haha. p&s does have it's advantages like parkertr puts it. i'm still keeping my c5050z for many reasons. f/1.7 certainly doesnt look anything like f/1.7 on film.

Coolpix 4300, hmmm sound so close to the heart, it was my first digital camera 3 yrs back ... very sharp and good camera. Only one setback ... the battery life; faint.

Yup, the Coolpix 4300 delivered fabulous result when my buddy used it to shoot on their honeymoon trip at NZ, simply superb. :thumbsup:

as far as the photos are concerned, they could have been taken with any camera.
I dont see why the guessing part was needed?

They are good photos, and that's all that matters.
