morning glory is kangkong lah

You had me scratching my head for a while too. Wikipedia says that it is called "water morning glory". But many other sites agree with you. Never heard it called that in Singapore though.

Sort of related : I just saw dried hibiscus on sale in a local grocery store, sold as snack. I have not tried it yet.

The Thai fried kway teow - pad see ew?

I think you are right. kangkong should be water morning glory, not the twirling ones we find on fences :bsmilie:

but the Thais call it morning glory, so I follow lor

Sorry, I cannot remember where I took this.

I dunno... haha, my colleague's food.
I thought she said Ayam Penyet, but doesnt look "smashed"
so I susepct it is just Ayam Goreng.

ya, now alot are not smashing up the chicken parts.

so it is simply ayam goreng. kekekeke

smashing the chicken makes it taste better ah? never had it before.

to be truthful i thought it was deep fried toufu the first time i saw it.

I have no idea, someone once told me it's all about the chili sauce and not about the chicken at all - of course, this being Singapore, it may even be true :bsmilie:
