Nothing special, just normal $1.50 tau suan from foodcourt at Novena Square2 :)

the pink/purple bits? reflection from the wall lights, the only way i could avoid that was if I stood on the chair and block the light with my body :bsmilie:

(newbie here kenah discipline! :nono: posted one of my pics on the thread and was removed. ;p)

Reflection? Really? Hey..... doesn't look like it tho.... looks like it's part of the dish. Hard to find decent tau suan nowadays especially with fresh you tiao. :(

$1.50... maybe you can try the tau suan at maxwell market if you pop by there, "75 Peanut Soup" cost $0.90 and is  ;p

Hmm... personally I would prefer it to be more saturated.

I can just see it in my mind - someone walk into a food court, order a plate of chicken rice, brings it to table, then set up mobile studio with lights and all, takes photo, before eating it :bsmilie:

Had me scratching my head thinking "what did I do now?" :)

Took me a while to figure out the etiquette here too - it's the norm here not to post your photos into another person's thread, unless they explicitly says it is OK to do so.

Yeah..... it's ok! Live and learn! Food is a topic close to everyone's , so easy to get carried away! Better stop now before my reply gets taken down for irrelevance to thread title!

Look forward to more yummys from grumpy...

today's lunch at Cumi Bali at Duxton

Very difficult to shoot with my Coolpix as the interior of restaurant is very dark. Pardon the quality. But food is really yummy!

Oooh... that Char Siew-looking thing on the skewer looks really yummy..... what exactly is it?? Chicken or pork?? And that sotong looks darn succulent! As for the crepe thing with the green tea ice cream and mango......... hmmmmm...... that looks kinda "funky".... must be an acquired taste.
