In a way true, till you compare good work with noob work side by side, the difference could be obvious or stark even, then again still will have art-blind people, just don't spend too much time with them and put the efforts towards clients that matter.
actually when it comes to art, no one is right or wrong. Some people think very highly of the pictures of themselves.. as long as they are inside, properly exposed, wow! great picture!!... before i buy my camera, i was talking to a friend of mine who loves sports photography.. i was sharing my research on camera with him before my purchase.. and i told him, all pics look the same to me leh!!! he was quite pissed! he told me "Then u don't need to get a DSLR lah!!!" i am still learning now.. but at least now i can differentiate better than before.. so , like what some say, there is a market for everyone!!! Indeed there is! So one must really know where one is and charge accordingly!

as long you are not putting your friends in a bad light, I think it is fine you wish to share the photos of your friends here.Haha so many kaypo kings!

to all people, remember, naheuy is sharing his friend's portrait here, we all are photographers, we all think we can shoot better then others, so please keep the comments on the skills of the photographer to yourself,
if you can't, please talk to the walls or to yourself.
and please give only positive comments on the "models"... ;p

haha ok finally im home!
this the album link on fb itself, i dont know if you all can view it though.. ill be scouring the pictures for some examples in the meantime!

i do have to take a stand though, i really hold the quality of the work (not just the picture, but the entire workflow) of such photographers suspect. it could be just based on the person itself, but really, theres more than one occasion where i have seen such work that if i took it, i wont even dare to include it in my portfolio...
and from what i see, it looks as if the photographer really included all the "raw" files along to her. and guess what, my average rate of $80-$100/hr is deemed "too ex, nobody will hire me" by her :dunno:

Frankly speaking if your friend had paid only $15-20 for the whole shoot, I would say good for her. From what I see in her fb album at least 25 of her friends "Like" the album (edited version). To her it already is $$$ well-spent.
