Just checked him out. I guess that's what I'm going for. Though on second thought, I should go easy on the highlights and contrast so as to not tire the eyes. My previous series was likened to Dave Hill's style. (But seriously, I don't check out notable photographers style much. I'm always experimenting with different PP workflow to see which one sits with me. Depends on my mood too) ;p

moriyama-san does not strike me as similar ... maybe if superficial observation it may lead one to think so - but one needs to study his work closer to not be misled - his PoV is not from the PP. Just my humble opinion.

also most of his work is film, you get something different from that.

True. PoV is unique to everyone, so it makes no sense to follow in someone's footsteps totally. Which is why I do not really study other photography masters much. My work might overlap theirs every now and then, but ultimately, it is my vision.

I really need to break out the SLR more often and load it with 1600 film for that rough grain. :think:

I had to hasten my steps to get close to capture that, hence some blur. The downside of a UWA. :bsmilie:
