GREAT Deal in SITEX – Portable Storage

Went over to Sitex just now, didn't remember the databank booth number so walk around the 3 block radius of the HWZ booth, didn't even see or find any booth selling or advertising the Databank. :dunno:

BTW there is no mention whether the databank is usb 2.0 or not, care to enlighten?

Anyway, went over to EastGear. They have quite a big publicity on their Compactdrive, bought a lexar 80X 512MB and a 40GB compactdrive with free 4pcs sanyo 2500mAh AA, man the transfer speed was awesome, it only took about 2 mins to dump a full 512MB to the device. I think when I left, the compactdrive was almost sold out.

nice price. but i think we are pretty concern with the write speed from the CF card to the HDD. Hope to get more accurate info on this.

yup, hope someone can test it and let us know. i feel like going down to try the device, but i haven't had experience with x drive and compact drive, so i won't be able to compare.

speedwise i can bear with it as i will be using it during travelling. back at the hotel room at the end of the day with the power supply available, can let it take all its time to copy.
