Are you sure they want that kind of specs?? Shooting on HD already costs a bomb. What about post? Are they willing to fork out $10k - 30k? My wife is a teacher. I thought govt schools got very tight budget. I ever quoted $2k for a SD production, they already said its damn expensive!
25p/HD is more than enough to get great picture and sound. The question fall on what about the final output? HDTV or just HDV SPEC? What is the total duration?

depends, some schools, esp private ones, like RI are richer, can spent more.
other govt schs have tight budgets, but if special events like 50th anniversary or some minister come visit, then their budget can be quite big

But I don't know why they would need 24P in Singapore, unless they are planning to enter an intrenational competition that requires 24P. Sounds a bit funny.

Yes their XH-A1 delivers 24F instead of 24P and HV30 delivers PF24 which is not 24fps until you remove pulldown. From the video editing software point of view, 24F and 24P both are 24fps and you need a 24fps timeline to work on. call kenele 98763243 thinks its $130 oer day Canon A1 and $60 for the hv30
