Got problem with final cut express.

My Finalcut express cannot do capture......keep on promting got problem with the tape, change to imovie can capture....

capturing from MV880xi.

Anyone can advise??

Under your Capture settings -> device control : switch to "firewire basic" and then try and see

Thks eel, it works now. Just asking, the platform is very different from vegas, my timeline disappear, and seems lost, cannot locate where to open....sigh....

You've just closed/hidden your timeline window that's all. Just press cmd-3 or double click on your sequence in the Browser to bring it back.
