time to get 50mm f1.8 MKII and you can start shooting indoor candid shots without flash ;)

Heh...Quite possible at higher ISO (say 400 and above) since 50mm = 80mm with the 1.6 crop factor and 1/60 and above shutter speed at f/1.8.

You'll be amazed by the 300D.....but soon, "what lens, what flash, filters, bags, sigma, tamron, microdrive, sandisk, nextvue, PS, C1, Neatimage, metz, sigma again, bouce, monopod, manfrotto, 500mm, L glass, IS, printer, paper.........BANKRUPT!" ;)

Just kidding you! But it sure feels like I've just given Canon and everybody else my chequebook. I swear, all the 3rd party lens/flash, storage media, accessory manufacturers owe Canon a big thank you for bringing out this camera.

Enjoy it, it takes great pics!

Cheers,

F-Stop 1.0 no more in production liao :( Too bad they stopped it before I could save enough for it (just being vain and wanna have the 1.0 :D ) :blah: :blah:

i don't about you, but i personally find the 85/1.2 a lot more usable than the 50/1.0. The 85 makes a great portrait and wedding lens, and an awesome lowlight candid lens, albeit a bit slow to AF. The 50/1.0 (which costs more than the 85) has a reputation of being LESS sharp than the 50/1.4, even at f1.4.

Of course, if it's just vanity, than anything goes.

1. 50mm x 1.6 crop would be 80mm (rather ideal focal length for studio portraits) but that's entirely up to the photographer and his methods.

2. 50mm f/1.4 is probably a better deal than the 1.0 and I'm using it.

3. Yup...it's purely vanity on my part. :D  :blah:

Heh heh heh

LCD protector make your photograph yellowish? Now that is something new .....

It makes your photography yellowish or make your preview panel looks yellowish?

sorry, only the preview panel looks yellowish. I can't remember the brand that i'm using, and the LCD protector size cannot fix nicely to the panel. Anyway, i dun really mind as long as it never affect the quality of the photos.
