next time, after buying a brand new set of lens, PLEASE, mount the lens only in a clean room, dust free if possible. den using a sandwich bag, put it lens in first, den tape up the other side, which should be your camera body side. the lens end, cut a hole just big enough for your lens, use a LOT of scotch tape to secure it to the front of the lens. make sure nothing is exposed. just to be sure, use 3 layers. do the same thing to each layer, one over another. go out and shoot it like that. when u come home, remove the plastic bags outside your house, leaving only the last layer on (which has the least amount of dust on it), den put it into a fresh bag and bring it into your clean room to dismantle.

do it this way from now on for all lens. please. learn frm your lesson.

And don't ever use the zoom ring! It's sucking dust from outside. The manual focus ring sometimes suck dust too, so don't use it. Just ask the manufacturer to set it to your predefined range, like 3 meter. Ask them to set to MF and REMOVE the switch as well so you don't accidentally switch it.

As mentioned, if it doesn't affect images, why bother?

But if it really bothers you, can send it for cleaning. The dust will come back. Clean, dust, clean, dust. The "fun" never ends!

I used to sell away lenses I have when dust got inside. :bsmilie:
