Gope'S Foto & Film, any comments?

Hi guys,wondering if any of you ever bought camera stuff at Gope's Foto in Tanglin Shopping Centre...
I have ask for an item and it is lower than what you can get from any other shops and its on local warranty...

cheaper doen't mean the shop is reliable.

As long as the shop is able to give original warranty with the shop receipt, so why not ?

If you have no experience on buying the stuff, better ask someone else to accompany you, rather than "kena" bully.

Asked only, so that means you didn't get anything from the shop yet?

Beware of some tactics used by such 'lower than others' price, asking you to buy other overpriced accessories. If you don't buy those accessories, they might just end up telling you 'No Stock' for the camera you're interested in.

Was the quoted price inclusive of gst? Guess some stores quote price without gst and when come to payment then buyer see higher price and mouth opens

Yup,saw many camera stuff for Nikon...

I bought my flash from them many years ago.

I too was surprised by their prices. I was quite surprised, walked out, made a call to my friend, walked back in and bought it.

No regrets buying from them. (But, I think they were quite surprised to see me come back after I had walked out).

Gope's Foto in Tanglin Shopping Centre has been around for years! They are a reliable store. I have bought items such as Nikon D2H, 300mm VR and some accessories from them over the years. Sometimes, I can find items there when elsewhere is out of stock. Take it if they offer you price better then other shops. A friend of mine heads there for Leica stuff. Yes, look for Sunda. They are humble people, just that they have not been promoting themselves I feel.
