U guys know what it means when u see things like this in a camera superstore... :(

BTW, those on top are Pentax lenses. Minolta ones all empty with the "Coming Soon Alpha" notice. They'd better not pull all the good lenses and primes out... argh~~~

20 more days only till alpha.

Never say goodbye, never say goodbye
You and me and my old friends
Hoping it would never end
Never say goodbye, never say goodbye
Holdin' on - we got to try
Holdin' on to never say goodbye

I wonder their so called 20 new lenses are rebadged one.. :) ;)

I guess there's a probability of it.

But rebadged or not, juz dun increase the prices by 10-fold simply becos "Its a Sony". I guess the reason why most people go the way of Minolta is due to cost-maintainence factor.

exactly... it's like driving a skoda. cheap label but audi engine.

I fear it would be the case of a 'Audi Casing, Daihatsu Engine'.

oh, "It's a Sony". :)

It'll basically be relaunching the KM lens under Sony. Its impossible for Sony to come up with 20 totally new lens. Not even Canon can do that.

more precisely, most of them should be 'tamron' 's lens.

Twenty lenses by sony in one year, that's crazy. They label Minolta lenses as Sony (some listed in different threads) and charge crazy prices. I really fear this change. End result for me is probably switching brands even though I am a big Minolta fan. KM was alreaday pain. Good thing is I am already setup to go to ohter brand if SONY does not get it right the first time. No taking advantage of loyal KM users.

Anyway, there's like just... 3wks left before the launch of the '20 new lenses' and alpha?

There's always bonuses at the end of the year. No rush, no rush. :D

17 days before alpha.;p

They'd better not disappoint! ;p

Eagerly waiting for good news, especially where lenses and body improvements are concerned.

Probably a rehash Dynax 5D.:(

T minus 2.5hr

Hmm... Sony? Well, I'm not sure abt their new Alpha ranges and lenses.

Canon has a lower possibility since the cost is so much higher. As a hobbyist/freelancer, I dun do any big time assignments (unless u guys suddenly see me 1 day win some competition or wad). :(

Whichever has a lower startup cost with good lenses and accessories at a lower cost, I'll go for that.
