Well I need some buying advice. Is worth to get the 350D + 1CF card + lens workbook at $1640 (inc. gst) or wait for deals similar to Comex offered?

I don't think that TCW has any new 350Ds right now....and they do not include CF card into their deals.....(correct if this is wrong).....thry have a mint 350D set up for sale there now....(again, correct if wrong)...

350D + 1CF card + lens workbook at $1640 is a good deal. Where did you get it from? MS Color? They quoted me $1650 or $1680 (I forgot which one) 2 weeks ago.

For those with Harvey Norman Citibank card, it may make more sense to get from Harvey Norman cos you can get a 5% discount off the $1,849 which comes to $1,757 (abt $100-$120 more than MS/TCW etc). In addition, HN is giving away additional 1 GB CF (on top of the existing 1GB) and a 3 yr extended warranty I recall from the newspaper ads, soi this is quite worth the additional $100-$120 higher than MS/TCW etc.

BTW, I'm not advertising for HN or anything, just hope that this info may benefit fellow CS-ers.

I got Nikon D70s Kit at $1750 (with GST) + 1GB CF only. It is SRP at $1988 (nikon website)!

If you were to pay in installments for EOS350D using the Harvey Norman Citibank card, then there will be no 5% discount. If I am not mistaken, HN also bundled together a 3 year warranty, camera bag, additional 1GB card and tripod at a price of $1849. And also you can purchase the battery grip at $169.

The Kit lens 18-55 will get u started.

The last time they bundled a 75-300 lens and I got it. Used the 75-300 for 3 times and sold it.

So, u still want a telephoto lens with that?
