Good camera shop in Lucky Plaza - Lords

If a shop owner replaces a product after using 8 days by you is good or bad ..

I would say that very bad ...as next time you would be one of the customer to get a used one ?

Its a relative world though for most of you its was a good gesture to do a one to one replacement ..i seriously feel this is no good .

Trust me the need of one to one replacement will not come if he doen't have stuff thats used by another guy for a day or two in ur case its 8 days

And what if one doesn't know about Kevin and his ways? Chances are that one will get treated by the other guys as anybody else: initial pricing somewhere at rooftop level and all the other nonsense we heard about. I also got the recommendation "ask for Kevin". He was not in the day when I dropped by and the other guys were just going the standard way of trying to "milk" me. Thanks, the shop won't see me again. I expect a consistent behavior from all staff and a good shop owner should take care about that. A single bad sales man can ruin all reputation (as easy to see in various other threads here). But I'm not surprised about that, Lucky Plaza is in the middle of the "tourist belt".
When I go to MS Color I get reasonable offers from all guys, no need to ask for Florence.

Digging up this thread again to praise them for having some rare items such as the HB-4 lens hood that I had gotten for my AF 20/2.8D Lord's is the only shop that had the item available, along with some other rare items I enquired :thumbsup:

Some of the guys at Lords use to run a PC shop at Sim Lim Square a few years ago but ceased business. My friends and I used to buy PCs from them as the service was very good. Was pleasantly surprised to see them again at Lords.

ps. enquired about Canon 40D today but was informed its sold out.

Lords very good what ... Kelvin replaced my cam even though more its more than 3 weeks since i discovered i had a problem with it ... with an entirely new one .. and no complains nor was he unhappy about it ... that says alot about their service .. i have since bought other things from them ...

.. but I notice that quite a number of people encountered problems with the products they purchased from Lords.
Although the service is good, ie they gladly exchange without much fuss, would it be better if you got a product that was working 100% the first time?
Makes me wonder if they really do 'recycle' the products... for example the D300 with 1 or 2 dead pixels. Maybe someone else would unwittingly be the recipient of this product in the near future?

Electrical components have huge performance or reliability variations, though they might be manufactured in the same batch, same time or same production line. It is very hard to get a flawless one. Different people has different level of expectation. One lens seem to be problematic to you but ok to others might because your expectation is higher.

If the shop is willing to exchange for us after some time is our lucky, as they don't need to do so. The return doesn't mean they will sell to other customer. It the devices are really bad one, I dont think they cant call for return. I prefer not to sell a rotten egg and end up with blacklisted.

yup...definitely one of the recommended shops...deal with Raymond each time i wanna get any cam lenses/accessories there...
