looking at something cheap and not bad.

If got the chance to get a good bokeh L lens will definitely get one of these
50mm f/1.2L, 85mm f/1.2L, 135mm f/2L


EF 50mm f1.4 USM..... the USM motor is worth the extra IMHO :thumbsup:
 

Most of you guys are confused with depth of field and bokeh, they are different things. Some of you are talking about depth of field.

Bokeh is the signature of the out of focus areas including the highlights. Its a subjective matter.

hi everyone... like the TS, i'm also a newbie who loves bokeh. bought a 50mm f1.4 but somehow all my shots not as nice as others. here is an example.

tink dis was shot at ISO800, f1.4 but i forgot about the other info...

to all the sifus here, how can i make the pic better arh?
dun scold me pls. i realli duno. gimme a chance to learn :embrass:

erm what's your shutter speed at? a possible hand-shake problem in that low light ...
 

oops... paisay paisay. initially wanted to show the TS wat the 50mm f1.4 can do... but now dat i noe my settings are wrong, my previous post serves no purpose now :embrass:

My favourite lenses in order of bokeh:

1) Leica 75mm f1.4
2) Leica 50mm pre asph f1.4
3) canon 135mm f2
4) canon 85mm f1.2
5) canon 50mm f1.2

least desirable lenses in order of bokeh:
1) canon 100mm f2.8 marco usm
2) canon 16-35mm f2.8 mk2

special bokeh:
1) 35mm f1.4 norton SC
2) canon 24mm f1.4 mk1
