golden half and flash

I have a golden half and its said to be able to use with flash.

can it be used with any kind of flash? i tried it with my olympus FL50R(high End flash) but it cun fire....
anyone have any light on this?? pls share!!! thx thx

I don't have experience with both, but have you tried setting your flash to MANUAL mode, instead of TTL Auto, etc? These lo-fi cameras usually work that way with flash, having no data input to communicate with modern flashes.
