A lot said is very meaningful... but those from D era might not really comprehend....
I really would like film cam to go back to production one day.... lol....
Film cameras are still in production, Leica is still producing their Leica MPs

read this entire thread one shot... makes me wanna go back using film!!!
went digital couple of years back and ya feel like something missing. i think for me is the time spent to compose a picture and the anticipation not knowing how it'll turn out. nowadays shoot first, check on screen, touch up on the spot... :nono:
even i notice there are more tilted horizons now that i'm using digital. last time use film hardly any. :embrass:
nostalgia liao :cry:
mostly it's cost and convenience that decide me turn digi.. but have to give up a lot also, like the size of the sensor (too poor to afford FF) and stuff... was reading about people developing own film at home here. this is only the negative/ CN41 technique? positive slides can developt at home or not? very noob cos last time just know send lab only dats why so exp.. also not much experience using slides.

Cool.... I am shooting digital mainly and shoot slides.. once in a long blue moon.... I still love film more, but it is more ex nowadays...

How much is a Leica film RF? What model? (Sorry, me not into Leicas)
I went on a search for film body recently, and only see FM10 from Nikon available brand new..... Could not find any more film camera available. Canon... totally nothing..... sigh.....
according to amazon.com, Leica MP brand new is USD 4400, so about SGD 6000. M7 is about the same. used in good condition can easily surpass half of that. can buy canon 1D mark3 liao with some spare change... :sweat:

Expensive taste is not his fault... you got hooked!!!! lol...
But I rather go for 5DmkII at the price.... It maybe be diff... but as long as pic come out well....
of course got hooked, the bait is Leica M9...
but what he said about lighter size producing similar or even better quality is very reasonable... if you have the money, that is.
