Glamourous Angel Ivy

Wow, luv the new sets you posted..:lovegrin::lovegrin:

I joined a few group shoots in order to learn where are the common spots used for outdoor session in beijing. Have known some beijing photogs in the process and they offered to show me the way too.. :D

Haha.. that is why i concentrate more on studio shoot these days, as i find it easier to organize during my travels. Preparing an outdoor shoot involves just too much time that i can't afford to spare.

BTW, how do you know all the spots to have outdoor session in Beijing?

Thanks.... The last set is my favorite as well, probably because i can use bigger aperture when using continuous light compared to flash.
No wonder you know so many good places in Beijing. As i am trying to do more mainstream fashion shoot from now, would need your advise on locations the next time i go to Beijing.

You have very nice setting in the 3rd set, I find your choice of aperture too large, no need to blur out the background so much at the expense of an OOF model.
Some points to take note of, from my observations:
1. DOF too thin, causing some facial features to be blurred in areas.
2. iPhone is upside down in some of the shots :bsmilie:
3. cropping/positioning of right side in #16 (plus dirty iPhone is distracting).
4. lighting is a little too centred, eg #18. Dark face, bright stomach. I think the lights may be too close to her in many of the shots.

Great model, studio setting, and poses. Surely a pleasurable shoot :thumbsup:

The location I went are usually parks and cafe wor..

Very nice for XMMs shoot but may not suits mainstream fashion shoot.. :bsmilie:

So far for beijing I hv tried locations like 西单, 奥林匹克森林公园, 朝阳公园, 蓝色港湾, 南锣/后海 & 三里屯..

Thanks for the tips. For the thin dof, i guess different people would hve different preferences. For me, the oof of the whole picture including some art of the model adds to the closeness and intimacy of the qhole picture. However, i will try to use a flash next time instead of continuous light. Cheers
