i was there on last sun (channel news asia was also there and they interviewed some visitors). my understanding (may be wrong) that it will close on 26 apr and re-open in 2006. the entrance fee is S$3.

within the display/display areas, photography is not allowed (there is a sign), but if you ask for permission, maybe they will allow. photography in the general area should be allowed (no one stopped me :embrass: and i was not the only one).

Hi Hi,
It was quite a good experience!
However,out of 200 shots taken, most were over -exposed from my flash... guess need more practice!

Did u try using the wite-balance on the 7i?
I tried with different settings in an enclosed room with white lamp.
some turn out to be bluish, after reading thru some online comment, I manage to get a little idea...

Guess we have to "shoot" more....

Oh, almost all my shots were at Program Mode. White balance is at auto.

Anyway, hope this weekend will be better!

In the event that photo-taking is not allowed, we could also do an evening/nite shoot in the city area. Tripods will be necessary.

Also, as some of us will be working, & may not be able to reach there before 4pm, can some of the guys who are free please go a little earlier to check out the situation & get clearance to shoot?

Finally, if photo-taking is not allowed, the sunday shoot will of course, be cancelled. For those planning to go on sun only, better that u check here for the latest update on the status on sat nite.

Hey DarkG and Cheechee, nice to chat up you guys at the Taka shoot. Will be looking forward to be there with you guys again.

Finkster, if you guys are going for th night shoots, I might not be able to join as I have to pass something to a friend.

Chenwei will be there too? that's great, didn't know which one is you during the Taka shoot. But I'm sad that you're selling your 602.

BTW, I dropped by Scotts at 9pm just now. They were doing a rehearsal with all the models. Around 30 of them. Yizel Lew from the 'my dream girl' contest was one of the contestants.

The lighting is poor, but i think still manageable. Down-lights with daylight flourescent tubes. Set WB to daylight or auto.

Stage is same as taka, but a little smaller, T-shaped. No barricades in sight, but might change tomolo, though unlikely. It's going to be a close quarters shoot. Distance from stage to crowd is only 2-3m max.

It's also going to be very crowded, due to the very limited space in Scotts atrium.

Hopefully, it's not going to be a repeat of the taka event...

Good: Photography allowed. Up close & personal with models.
Bad: Very limited space, poor lighting.

Today's event comprised of the female segment. Out of 25, 15 were selected. Tomorrow is the guys turn.
