AS & ISO 3200. :) :)

Anti-shake is reason enough :)

Yea...anti-shake is cool...the feel of 350D with the vertical grip is so nice...seriously I have never buy canon cameras before in my whole life...

get the 7D then. ;p

1) You wanna buy a cheap lens and can use with AS? or;
2) you wanna buy an expensive lens with built-in IS?

Vertical grip available with the 5D ?

nope. verified the batt compartment has no contacts for vertical grip.

Hmm, most of my old pics is taken with ISO 400 B/W films. Don't think i need anti-shake with my kind of pics...I like the idea of the vertical grip tho...

minolta 85mm f1.4 lens and 50mm f1.4 lens is lower cost compare to other brand.
The grip also of reasonable cost for 7D.
AS come with the camera. No need to but AS in every lens.

This is the GREATEST + Most economic reason!!!

AS is selling point for KM. if you choice 350D, because of vertrical grip.... hmmmmm.....

For me AS is important, I shoot wildlife. that can save a lot money for buying IS/VR lens.:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

I've said it quite a few times before, but I'll say it again:

AS rocks.

I'm totally sold on this feature. I think it's an ESSENTIAL feature. That, plus an ISO3200 rating would make the camera a lot more versatile at night.

Buy 7D lah! or Canon 5D .. LOL!

Hey, you can just take them out and compare mah

Edit : IMO, stablizer (IS/VR/AS...) does expand the shooting opportunities with simple 'dragging' of shutter to a lower speed, or shooting in a tight spacewhere tripod is not possible.

Haha....Vader...hard to make up your mind...?

Guess....asking for oppinion in a web-forum actually makes decision again more difficult - thats what i feel.

I believe you already have some thoughts in mind based on:
- specs
- handling
- affordability
- handling preferences(ergo)
- etc...

I bet you gonna get super mixed inputs here....since its in a Minolta forum...kekeke :bsmilie:
Okay now my inputs - not trying to help you to decide...though
When 5 D comes, take CF card - shoot with both cams - make your choice...

yah fully support.

See what you want. like me, before decide to buy D5D, I am thinking to get D70s. because ton of friends use nikon, but I feel AS is more important for me. so ....

BUY D5D. :bsmilie:

Example of AS in action. Not a very good one but shows the versatility of it. Image been sharpened vis PS tho.

ISO800, F5.6. 1/50s, 280mm(420mm after crop factor)

pict29179ix.jpg

wow nice one.

how you manage to shoot at 420mm with shuttle speed 1/50s?

focal length is 280mm not 420mm.
why is that not possible?
i have taken photos at that kind of shutter speed at 300mm.

allow me to put in 5-cents comments. I bought 5D becos:

- the cheapest or one of the lowest-priced decent DSLR cams around
- decent but LIMITED availability of lens around.
A + for me as I do not wanna be influenced by the buy3 virus of the other brands.
Saves me $$$.
For my 0-skills level, I'm more than happy with KM's lenses. Hence, spend less $$$.
- Lens cheaper than the other popular brands.
- AS in cam compared to VR/IS lenses. This is a big + for me. Again, save $$$!
