Camera bodies not intl. warranty though...... unlike flashes & lenses..

That's the price before bargain (but I doubt you can drive it down any further, already very low..hehe). The shop is DC Wave (Sim City at Mong Kok)... it seems like they are bringing in the 30D and 400D in bulk, that's why the prices are so attractive. Over at Man Shing and Wing Shing (the 2 other shops which are popular with CS-ers), the prices are HK$8,190 (comes with extra battery, "Nikon" bag, 1GB CF (normal speed)).
Start booking your air ticket...haha! By the way, the cameras are covered with a 2 year HK/China warranty (not valid in Singapore though).

was because the 10D is such an excellent camera

The conversion rate is roughly S$1 : S$5.
I was there last week. I saw the price of Tamron 198-50 f2.8 @ one of the shop in MongKok is about the same offer @ CP & AP. No point of buying as you must remove the packaging to avoid GST payment when arriving at Singapore Imigration.

The HK7.6K is a good deal. The additional HK$600 (abt S$120) for the 1GB CF, battery and bag at Wing Shing/Man Shing seem a bit high, considering that the CF is prob normal speed and battery is not original CAnon.
Anyway, I am already back in Singapore...won't be going to HK for the next few months...are u referring to tamron 17-50 f2.8? the stocks there are almost non-existence...i was at man shing/wing shing and the shop assistant there showed me a long waiting list..
