Usually, I am pretty meh about politics.
But this time round, maybe I would pay a bit more attention to the candidates. I feel that this time round, there are too many candidates with no directions or tangible policies but thinks pageviews/shares on youtube/facebook equals mandate for office.

Rather than hearing things like, "I aim to achieve this, this, this... etc etc",
What I really want to hear is "I will to achieve this, this, this AND this is HOW I will do it...."

The election is not just about respect for the old guards. It's about picking candidates who can serve and better our livelihood. All respect and rewards due to those who have contributed to our success have been served and if I may say so, abundantly. Those in office who are still resting on their laurels and harping about past glory need to also know one thing, if the common Singaporean has to work his butt off all his life just to eke a living then it's high time they did the same. Peanuts ain't cheap so stop feeding the monkeys.
