They sell just the cables (USB-SATA/IDE) in funan/sls...think ~20 bucks, quite useful, fits both 2.5 and 3.5" disks

I see. Thanks for the info!

Is the E-P1 a good start for a newbie to start off with?

40 days with the E-P1 and 100 shots:

I missed the image quality from full frame DSLR. But I wouldn't have taken so many pics if I had carried the heavy DSLR with me.

The Lumix 7-14mm is really a very nice lens.
The 14-42mm is an average performer.
The 17mm is least used cos it doesn't offer much advantage over the 14-42mm lens other than size.
I'm selling the Lumix 45-200mm. Too big and not really sharp, especially towards the tele end.

It's been a long time since I posted in CS. The PEN is cool!! And I like your shots. :)

Pretty much a yes if you ask me,it has all the auto modes for newbies and has manual modes and the ability to change lens

I assume you are in singapore. It would be faster and more accurate (not a few days or even week old quote) if you give them a call. Dont forget to ask the name of the person who is quoting for you as it is a courtesy to go back to him when you make the purchase.

LOL. Yes Sir. Problem is I want to resist buying. So not calling. Waiting for my fire to die down whilst seeing if there are stocks online.

Contradicting? I know. That's just me.

Saw a few units on sale in the personal classified section (olympus)... maybe you want to try your luck there.

Anyway for everyone's info, my wife called all the reputable stores in Singapore. No where in stock anywhere for the dual lens kit.

My E-P1 must be angry with me for trying to dump it for sale in the classified ads. And so goes my harddisk with all the pics taken with E-P1.....

Maybe I should keep it and I may just recover my pics....

Need to get rid of it. Otherwsie my DSLR will be collecting dust and loosing value.
Also in preparation for the new Panasonic cam.

If for reason 1, I'd sell the DSLR. OTOH, given reason 2, ridding yourself of the E-P1 makes perfect sense. Good.. I'd be looking forward to your "Photos from GirlFriend1" thread.

I think I'm neglecting my DSLR for too long now. Everywhere I go ... the E-P1 goes with me. Here are some random ones taken last weekend at a florist.

Wow looks like studio shots!

If this is taken on the E-P1, then chuck the DSLR! :bsmilie:

Hahaha. I'm sure they are way far from studio shots. Thanks.

*crash boom bang*

Okay ... now my DSLR has just flown out the window. Can? :bsmilie: Honestly, my DSLR hardly see the light of day since I got the E-P1. Why? Coz E-P1 prettier and lighter lo. :embrass:
