got mine from RSS too. use it to prevent my eyepiece from dropping. lost too many liao. Also to gafar part of my tripod.

I dont think the quality of the Gaffar from RS is good. the sticky material is white in colour and i find it too sticky. Feel is also diferent.

erm, then what are the brands one should look at? i remember there was a MO once for some brand. i suppose it is not sold locally?

I rem Canturn was the one doing MO on it last time. I'm now testing the RS Gaffar, sticking on a few location (tripod leg, plastic, metal, cam body). will take them off after 3 month to see the results.

Keeping my finger cross that it will not peel off the wordings.

dunno leh, i stick a small piece on a plastic bag and there was no way i could peel it off. it just after 1 day.

but plastic bag so flimsy, even normal tape also hard to remove without any marks? then again, i've never used gaffer tapes before so i don't know what level of stickiness to expect. (that's the reason i'm asking. lol.)

comfirmed the RSS gaffar is not good. got lots of sticky residue after a few weeks only.

I have the Apollo gaffer tape which canturn brought in earlier. Ask those who have bought the gaffer tape from me. It is the same Apollo gaffer tape which i got from the Apollo distributor in Singapore.

You may choose not to gaffer the red/gold ring. :bsmilie:

As some had mentioned, the adhensive used on the tape is some kind of rubber instead of glue, so it won't be sticky upon removal.

sigh...bought a roll from PPCP...realised it is the same as the one offered by RS. And PPCP's price is almost double of that of RS Singapore....
